The Premier League club announced the news on its official website on Tuesday, as reported by Sports. Postecoglou has reportedly signed a contract with Nottingham until the summer of 2027.

The manager arriving at the helm of last season's seventh-placed team brings over 25 years of experience in professional football. Following successful stints in Australia and Japan, he took charge of Celtic.

In his first season in Scotland, he secured a domestic double with the team, and in the second, an impressive treble. His next move led him to Tottenham, where in his second season, he guided the team to a Europa League triumph.

"We are bringing a coach to the club who has proven he can win trophies. His experience at the highest level and his determination to build something together here with us make him the right person."

"After gaining promotion to the Premier League and gradually securing European football, we must now focus on the right steps that will lead us to silverware," club owner Evangelos Marinakis stated on the team's website.

The Greek owner has long been an admirer of the Australian tactician. Postecoglou, a native of Athens, saw his family emigrate to Australia in 1970.

In July, the 60-year-old coach received an award for the first-ever European trophy won by a coach of Greek descent, an accolade presented to him by Marinakis himself.

However, just sixteen days after the triumph in Bilbao, he departed the "Spurs" dugout. His fate was sealed by the team's Premier League results, with Tottenham finishing a disappointing 17th in the table.
