Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has publicly called for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson to join him at Fulham before the end of the transfer window.

Nelson, 25, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Fulham, making 12 appearances, scoring twice, and providing one assist before a hamstring injury sidelined him in December.

The duo, who came through Arsenal’s youth academy together, share a strong bond, and Iwobi is keen to see Nelson return to Craven Cottage.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Iwobi, 29, praised his former teammate:

“His style of play is very explosive. He is very sharp. I just hope that he returns fit and healthy as soon as possible.

"It would be nice for him to come back to Fulham, because we know the sort of player he is. I can try to be an agent – but I am not.

"Many people are pressuring him, trying to find out what is going on. Me, I am not one of them!”

Fulham are yet to make significant signings this summer, but there are reports that manager Marco Silva is still in the market for two wingers and a midfielder.

The Cottagers welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage this weekend.
