Nigeria's U17 girls, known as the Flamingos, are resolute and prepared to pick up the ticket for the nation's eighth appearance in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.

The Flamingos, the quarterfinalists from the last tournament in the Dominican Republic are defending a 4-0 first-leg lead against their Algerian counterparts.

The Flamingos, however, are greatly motivated by the prospect of another FIFA World Cup ticket and additional financial support from the Nigeria Football Federation and billionaire business magnate Kunle Soname.

After their decisive victory over the North Africans at the Remo Stars Stadium on Saturday, Soname rewarded the young players and their officials N4 million which is one million naira for each goal), while the NFF distributed N2 million which is five hundred thousand naira for each goal.

Both Hon. Soname and NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau have affirmed that the same financial incentives will be available for the second leg in Blida.

Officials for Algeria vs Nigeria

Marie Noelle Etong, a Cameroonian official, has been appointed referee by the Confederation of African Football.

Her countrymen Marcelle Teikeu and Innocentia Ntangti will serve as assistant referees 1 and 4, respectively, while Chadian Ngarassoum Victorine will serve as assistant referee 2.

Sabelo Maphosa-Sibindi of Zimbabwe will serve as referee assessor, while Oumou Souleymane Kane of Mauritania will serve as commissioner.

Time and where for Algeria vs Nigeria

The game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 in the final leg of a final qualifying round match.

It will be played at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida (outside of Algiers) on Friday night.

The game will start at 8 p.m., when the winds from the Mediterranean Sea will start to pick up speed, according to the Federation Algerienne de Football (FAF).
