Who has already made the UCL & who can qualify
Liverpool and Arsenal have already confirmed their qualification for next season’s competition, though the Gunners are still battling to ensure their second-placed finish in the league standings.
Manchester City would have to overturn a three-point deficit and an eight goal-difference swing to overtake Arsenal and claim the runners-up spot, while the Citizens are also still fighting to secure a top-five finish as a whole.
Just three points separate seventh-placed Nottingham Forest and third-placed Manchester City, meaning all five sides could still ensure qualification to Europe’s most prestigious competition, including Newcastle United, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Newcastle and Chelsea simply need to match Aston Villa’s result to ensure a top-five spot, with the Villans currently tied on 66 points but trailing the two by 13 and 11 goal difference respectively.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will have to win and at least two of the teams above them lose or draw if they are to secure Champions League football, while only one would have to drop points if they are to secure Europa League football – and given they are competing with Chelsea, a victory on the final day is crucial.
Champions League Permutations:
Liverpool – Already qualified
Arsenal – Already qualified
Tottenham - Already qualified after winning Europa League
Manchester City – Need at least a point or for Aston Villa to fail to overturn a 17 goal difference swing
Newcastle United – Need to match Aston Villa’s result to finish above them on goal difference
Chelsea – Need to match Aston Villa’s result to finish above them on goal difference
Aston Villa – Need to better Newcastle or Chelsea’s result
Nottingham Forest – Need to defeat Chelsea and better Newcastle or Aston Villa’s result
Who can make Europe’s other competitions?
As for the chasing pack, due to Crystal Palace’s FA Cup triumph (ensuring Europa League football for next term), Newcastle’s Carabao Cup win (ensuring at least Conference League football) and Tottenham Hotspur being guaranteed Champions League football due to winning the Europa League, thingshave become extremely complicated.

For Brighton and Brentford, an eighth-placed finish would not only be required, with other outcomes also needed for one of those two to ensure Conference League qualification.
Brighton lead Brentford by three points, meaning a win for the Bees and the Seagulls losing is required for the latter to ensure eighth place, with Brentford already boasting a superior goal difference.
In addition, Chelsea must win the Conference League and finish seventh or win the Conference League and come sixth, with Newcastle placing seventh, to open up eighth-place to Conference League qualification.
Conference League Permutations
Chelsea must win the Conference League and place seventh or win the Conference League and place sixth, with Newcastle United placing seventh.
Brighton – Need at least a point to ensure an eighth-placed finish
Brentford – Need to win and Brighton to lose to record an eighth-placed finish
Whatever the eventual outcomes and final standings of the Premier League table may be, the last day of the season is sure to provide plenty of twists and turns throughout the 90 minutes, and there is sure to be excitement and drama.
