Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Kenya Police FC have lauded AFC Leopards legend Boniface Ambani for how he recruited their midfielder Charles Ouma.

Ouma is among the Harambee Stars players called up for the upcoming Four-Nation Tournament. After Ambani recalled how he gave the midfielder a chance, Police stated they were thankful to the retired footballer who brought Ouma to the club.

"Remember the first time you brought him to our team when we were in the National Super League," Police said.

"He has become the Police FC darling. Oush is going international just because you planted this seed with a good heart."

In his post, Ambani recalled how he first interacted with the midfielder and while the AFC Leopards legend and Police are convinced of Ouma’s talent, he now has to impress Harambee Stars head coach Engin Firat.

Firat is expected to trim his squad ahead of the June competition to be held in Mauritius.

The midfielder could get his chance after Firat stated that he would not call up new players to replace the injured ones.

The Turkish coach will instead use the players in camp to fill the positions left by the injured players.
