Andre Onana offered a way out of Man United after Man United accept bid
Turkish Super Lig side Andre Onana have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Andre Onana on loan; however, they are yet to convince the Cameroon international.
The 29-year-old shot-stopper has yet to play a match for Manchester United this season. He is believed to have been deemed surplus to requirements by the club. With the Turkish League window still open, Trabzonspor offer a way out.
The details
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Burgundy Blues have agreed personally with the Red Devils to take on Onana’s services for the rest of the current campaign.
Onana joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 as David De Gea’s replacement. However, the multiple error-ridden performances have left fans and the club's hierarchy questioning his trustworthiness between the sticks.
He has been unused this season, with Altay Bayindir starting all three Premier League games so far. Manchester United have also signed a new goalkeeper, young Senne Lammens, further dampening Obama's chances this season.
It remains to be seen whether he will take up the offer from Trabzonspor. The Turkish transfer window closes next week, Friday, September 12.
