Anything is possible! Dutch legend Van der Sar predicts next Premier League champions

Liverpool head into next season as the favourites to lift the Premier League title, and Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea are expected to be strong contenders.

The Reds have spent significantly to strengthen their squad to defend their title, and will be most people's pick to win.

However, EPL great Van der Sar believes another team could be in the mix, and in fact, has backed that team to lift the title, against all odds.

The legendary Dutch shot-stopper has backed one of his former clubs, Manchester United to lift the trophy for the first time since 2013.

While early predictions can always backfire, Van der Sar knows what it takes to win a league title in England.

Speaking to Livescore, the former Ajax man tipped the Red Devils to dethrone Liverpool next season.

No team has ever gone from being 15th in the Premier League to being champions within one season, but United have done exceptional business this summer, landing Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

The Red Devils begin their Premier League campaign at home against Arsenal next weekend.
