Arsenal looking to sign a striker before start of pre-season, adding two names to shortlist

Plans for the upcoming season are well underway for Mikel Arteta after losing the Premier League title to Manchester City twice in a row.

Mikel Arteta played the whole season with Kai Havertz as his top striker after Gabriel Jesus constantly suffered back-to-back injuries.

He is expected to go into the transfer market for a new striker ahead of the Gunner pre-season tour in July.

The team is instantly prepared to begin a campaign where they are hoping to get over 90 points and Arteta wants to have everything done early.

According to reports from Centergoal on X,” Arsenal wants to sign a striker before preseason, with two names topping the shortlist.”

Arsenal have added Brian Brobbey and Viktor Gyökeres to their transfer shortlist as they seek a new striker in the transfer market.

Brobbey has been exceptional for Ajax this season, scoring 22 goals in 42 matches which has attracted interest from major clubs.

The 25-year-old Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is also another choice on the striker list for the Gunners,

The forward has scored 29 goals and provided nine assists in 33 games for his team in the Portuguese League.
