Barcelona close in on offloading out-of-favor Ansu Fati following disappointing season
The young forward fell out of favour with the current manager, Hansi Flick, after returning from his loan spell at Brighton.
He has fallen in the Barcelona pecking order, with the likes of Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres playing ahead of him.
The Spanish winger is nearing a move to Monaco this summer as he looks to revive his career and get more playing time.
Fati set to join Monaco
The Laliga winners are close to selling Ansu Fati, once considered a highly promising talent, due to his limited playing time.
Barcelona and Monaco are negotiating a loan deal for Fati, with the French side having the option to buy him outright.
The deal could also include a sell-on clause for Barcelona, according to reports in the Spanish and French media, as reported by Sportal.bg.
The agreement is reportedly almost finalised, and the 22-year-old is also keen on the move. He managed just 298 minutes across 11 appearances for Barcelona last season, despite the club winning a treble.
Monaco, who will be playing in the Champions League next season, have already secured the services of defender Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer.
