BBNaija's Mercy Eke reportedly recalls how ex-footballer Emmanuel Emenike dumped her to marry beauty queen

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star Mercy Eke once reportedly opened up about her love life on Africa's biggest reality TV show.

Mercy Eke, who won the 2019 edition of the BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ season is considered as the most influential female housemate of all time.

She returned to the show last month for the Big Brother Naija All Stars season that saw a number of previous winners and housemates return for another epic season.

However, fans were seemingly drawn to past news reports about her alleged relationship with a former Super Eagles star.

During the BBNaija 'Pepper Dem' season in 2019, Mercy was reported to have opened up on her dating life.

Back in 2019, news sources reported that Mercy, while discussing with fellow housemate and BBNaija star Elozonam, said she was in a serious relationship with former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike before he got married to ex-beauty Queen Iheoma Nnadi.

Multiple media sources like Legit and Daily Post reported that the 32-year-old influencer, model and businesswoman disclosed that she found out about Emenike’s marriage to the former MBGN on Instagram while they were still dating.

According to the reports, Mercy stated that Emenike, 36, actually loved her but ultimately dumped her because she was a “nobody” at that time.

However, she was said to have stated that the situation at that time made her determined to become successful and be a celebrity.

Days after the reports on his history with Mercy Eke’s went viral on social media. The former West Ham and Spartak Moscow striker uploaded a short video with his estranged wife and ex-beauty queen Iheoma Nnadi amid the controversy.
