Cadiz beg Real Madrid to rest Bellingham for Victor Osimhen and Napoli

Modest LALIGA outfit Cadiz CF are at a crossroads as they prepare to host giants Real Madrid when the league returns from the international break this weekend. 

Amidst the anticipation for the game, Cadiz has made an intriguing request to Los Blancos to rest superstar Jude Bellingham for their Champions League clash against Victor Osimhen’s Napoli.

England’s midfield maestro and Nigeria’s Osimhen are important to their respective teams in Spain and Italy.

However, either have been out of action for a while for club and country due to injuries. 

Bellingham has not featured for Carlo Ancelotti’s league-chasing side since a goalless affair against Rayo Vallecano.

The 20-year-old has been out following a shoulder injury which he picked up in that LALIGA clash against Rayo.

Osimhen has also been out of action for Napoli after he picked up an injury while on international duty with Nigeria back in October.

However, after the latest international break, both players have resumed training with their respective clubs.

 With the LALIGA encounter just days away, Real Madrid took to their social media page to share a positive update on Jude Bellingham. 

Los Blancos posted a picture of their 100m star, Bellingham, in training ahead of the visit to the South of Spain, which prompted a reply from their host on Sunday.

“Hello, @realmadriden,” Cadiz quoted Real’s post. “Jude #Bellingham is back in training, but it's time to rest him for the game against Cadiz for your Champions League match against Osimhen's Napoli.”

Real will battle Cadiz in the league before hosting Osimhen and Napoli in a decisive UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday.

Ancelotti’s men are already through to the next round after four wins in four, while Osimhen and Napoli are hoping to join them if they manage to take all three points.
