Real Madrid will have to make do without England international Jude Bellingham, as he is set for a spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Los Blancos this summer for a fee in the excess of £100 million from Borussia Dortmund and has taken to life in the Spanish capital with ease.
Bellingham is undoubtedly Real Madrid’s best player so far in this campaign, scoring in almost every appearance this season. His current tally is 13 goals in 14 appearances, and he will be unable to add to that value this evening in the clash against Valencia due to his injury.
Bellingham out for weeks
The former Birgminham man hurt his shoulder in Real Madrid’s draw against Rayo Vallecano but made the squad list for the midweek Champions League triumph over Braga, although he was an unused substitute.
He is now said to be injured and will be out for a few weeks, which takes him out of contention for the match against Valencia.
Real Madrid’s statement: “Following tests carried out today on Jude Bellingham, the player has been diagnosed with anterior instability of the left shoulder, a consequence of his recent dislocation. Bellingham will miss today's game against Valencia.”
