But the 20-year-old was hardly missed as Brazilian superstar Vinicius Junior put on a show after he scored one and assisted another to inspire Real Madrid into the round of 16.

The 23-year-old scored the second of the day after his compatriot Rodrygo set up Brahim Diaz for the opener.
