According to The Guardian, United will hold out for a minimum of £80 million for Mainoo, whose contract expires in 2027, although the club has the option to extend it by another year.

As for Alejandro Garnacho, who has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, United are said to be seeking a fee of at least £70 million.

The Argentine winger was nearly sold in the January transfer window, with Chelsea and Napoli expressing interest.

United's willingness to sell both players hinges on receiving acceptable offers.

The club has already demonstrated its ability to offload talent, having sent Marcus Rashford and Antony out on loan in January.

INEOS failed to arm Ruben Amorim with any big names in the January window, but they did secure the arrival of talented wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.
