Nigeria’s striker Victor Osimhen believes his club SSC Napoli can go all the way in the Champions League after making history.

Osimhen stated this after he inspired a historic win for Napoli over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles forward scored two goals and passed on the third (a penalty to a teammate) to help Napoli thrash Frankfurt 3-0 in their Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie.

The win on the night saw Napoli see off Frankfurt 5-0 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Victor Osimhen believes Napoli can go all the way after making history.

Nigeria’s Osimhen played a key role in making this happen as he scored three of the five goals in two matches against Frankfurt to inspire Napoli.

After the game, the Nigerian superstar reacted to the win and stated that he believes the Partenopei have the quality to go all the way and lift the Champions League this season.

“I think anything is possible, we have the squad to achieve this dream (winning the Champions League), " Osimhen said according to Football Italia.

“(But) Of course, we take it step by step and see what happens,” he added.

With the two goals against Frankfurt on Wednesday night, Osimhen returns amongst the goals for his Serie A leaders, Napoli.

His last goal for the club was in the 2-0 win at Empoli, with Lazio and Atalanta keeping the in-demand forward at bay in the Serie A.

Osimhen’s double against Frankfurt takes his tally to four goals in four starts this season in the Champions League.
