‘Chukwueze? The best I've ever played with’- Italian forward picks Super Eagles star as his best player

Samuel Chukwueze and Davide were together at Villarreal before the Italian attacker left the club in 2020.

The Super Eagles forward made 207 appearances for Villarreal, scored 37 goals and provided 31 assists.

The ex-Villarreal star was one of the best players during his stay at the club and has been hailed by his former teammate.

Davide Castelli has hailed Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze during a recent interview with Lacasadic.

The Italian told Lacasadic as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio on X, “There in Spain I also did some training with the first team, but without having the chance to make my debut. 

“I tried to learn as much as possible. There was also Chukwueze, who among other things is the strongest player I've ever played with so far in my career. 

“He arrived in Villarreal when I was in the Primavera. We started together, then within a year he climbed the categories and reached the first team. 

Chukwueze completed his move from Villarreal to AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

However, he has found it difficult to break into the first team since his arrival with the likes of Leao and Pulisic ahead of him.

Davide continued, “Samuel is a golden boy, always with a smile on his face. It's not easy at Milan, he finds himself in a completely different environment, but I think that as soon as he gets used to the team and Italian football.

“He will be able to reach the top. He has nothing to fear in comparison with Leao”.
