Courtois set to extend contract after agreeing a new deal with Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois has agreed to extend his contract with Real Madrid after both parties reached an agreement on an extension.

Courtois joined Los Blancos seven years ago, arriving from Chelsea in 2018. The Belgian has made 288 appearances for Real, conceding 282 goals and keeping 113 clean sheets.

He has won two Champions Leagues, three La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, two UEFA Super Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup with the club.

Courtois extends deal

Real Madrid has reached an agreement with Thibaut Courtois to extend his contract, according to Marca, via Sportal.

The 33-year-old Belgian goalkeeper will add one more year to his current deal, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027.

The extension is unconditional, not dependent on appearances, and is considered finalised, pending an official announcement from the club. Courtois's current contract runs until June 2026.

This move aligns with Real Madrid's policy of offering one-year extensions to players over 32.
