The men’s national cricket team was off to a good start at the Continental Cup T20 after bagging wins in their two opening matches.

The event which started on Friday, June 9, saw the men’s team floor Rwanda in the opening match to take top honours by three wickets. Rwanda won the toss and elected to bat first but they could only manage to have 137 runs by the 20th over.

Kenya won after managing to have accumulated 138 runs after 18.3 overs. By the time the game was ending, nine wickets had fallen for Rwanda and seven for Kenya.

In their second game on Saturday, June 10, Team Kenya put up a good fight to defeat Uganda by 89 runs. Kenya won the toss and elected to bat first. By the 20th over, they had accumulated 185 runs against Uganda who only managed 96 runs.

They will face off against Botswana in their third game on Sunday, June 11 at the Gymkhana Sports Grounds in Nairobi, Kenya at 9:30 a.m.
