The former Sky Volleyball Club receiver-attacker had moved to Qatar's Al Khor Volleyball Club after some time with the Rwandan outfit.

Uganda Volleyball Federation announced the transfer through their social media channels, and it is one of the few that have transpired since the window opened on May 15.

Since the transfer window opened, Rwanda has welcomed yet another Ugandan who will be competing against Malinga.

Former Nemostars receiver-attacker Gideon Angiro made the move from UCU Doves to join Rwandan army side APR.

Angiro, who led UCU to the National Volleyball Finals, is one of the big prospects in Ugandan volleyball and is eyeing a professional career.

Angiro caught the eye of many after featuring for the Volleyball Cranes in the CAVB African Nations Volleyball Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.

In that tournament, Angiro filled the void left by Malinga, who was unavailable for Shilla Omuriwe's charges.

With REG winning the league last season, both Gisagara and APR will be looking to challenge for the same honours when the season volleys off.

Will the Rwandan league attract more Ugandan talent before the transfer window closes? Only time will tell.
