Daniel Alves’ mother allegedly leaks uncensored pictures of Brazilian’s accuser in rape trial

The material, sourced from the victim's social media, includes a narration that criticises the victim's nightlife habits, seemingly in an attempt to portray Alves as innocent.

The leaked content has caused significant controversy. The victim, who has sought anonymity, may now face unwanted public attention and psychological harm.

The judge overseeing the case had ordered that the victim's identity be kept confidential to protect her rights and the integrity of the legal process, and Lucia Alves' action of revealing the victim's identity could potentially lead to legal consequences for her, including charges for "revealing secrets," which in Spain can result in a prison sentence or a fine, depending on the severity of the offence.

In addition to the legal implications for Lucia Alves, this incident has sparked public outrage and criticism, particularly on social media. The victim's lawyer is reportedly preparing a complaint against those who published the videos, including Lucia Alves and the lawyer who originally shared the content.

The case has been ongoing since last January, and Dani Alves has maintained his innocence throughout, despite having changed his testimony multiple times. His ex-wife and mother have publicly vouched for his innocence.
