Nigeria's Emmanuel Dennis continued his fine form for Watford under new manager and former Manchester United star Tom Cleverley.

Emmanuel Dennis cut a frustrated figure despite netting on his return to Watford's starting lineup, as the Hornets could only manage a 2-2 draw against Leeds United.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the forgotten Super Eagles forward seems to be finding his scoring touch again after another positive outing for the Hornets.

Dennis’ Scoring Return Cut Short

The Nigerian international scored in the 58th minute to briefly restore Watford's lead at Vicarage Road, only for Matoe Joseph to hit a late equaliser for the visitors.

It meant a disappointing start to Tom Cleverley's managerial reign at his former club following his appointment this week.

Dennis, who rejoined Watford on loan from Nottingham Forest in January, took to Facebook to express his disappointment at dropping two points.

"Gutted not to get the three points but good fight from the boys," the striker posted.

Dennis' goal was just his second in as many appearances since returning to Hertfordshire, taking his tally to four goals in 11 Championship outings this term.

But instead of proving the match-winner, the 26-year-old's strike merely cancelled out Crysencio Summerville's first-half equaliser for Leeds.

Emmanuel was not happy with how the game ended after his latest goal for Watford.

With the game delicately poised, Watford were undone by Joseph's 85th-minute finish as the visitors left with a share of the spoils.

The result leaves the Hornets 15 points adrift of the playoff places as their inconsistent season continues under their new manager.

Dennis will hope his goal can at least earn him a sustained run in the starting XI as he looks to fire the Hertfordshire club back into the promotion places and possibly back to the Premier League.
