Disappointed Ademola Lookman returns to Atalanta after Inter Milan walk away from deal
Some heartbreaking news for Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman, who has now returned to training with Atalanta after a failed move to Inter Milan.
Ademola Lookman was desperate to find joy outside Bergamo after three solid seasons with the club, playing an important role in leading them to a historic first trophy in 53 years.
However, the Nigerian and his admirers from Milan were frustrated due to Atalanta’s stance, refusing to accept anything less than 50 million Euros for their prized asset.

Reports on Monday revealed that Inter informed Atalanta they would no longer pursue a deal for the African Player of the Year, despite weeks of discussions.
The Nerazzurri had seen their offer, €45m including bonuses, rejected earlier in the summer, and have opted not to return with an improved bid.
Whether the 26-year-old winger will feature in Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans for the season remains to be seen, but his reintegration into the squad is expected to be closely monitored after a summer of controversy.
