Fulham's Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi, has been named Premier League Player of the Week, a recognition of his phenomenal performance in the club's 3-1 victory over Brentford

The 29-year-old’s decisive contribution at Craven Cottage saw him outshine some of the league's biggest names, including Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes at the weekend.

Iwobi was the main architect of Fulham’s success, scoring their decisive equaliser and providing a crucial assist in a dominant showing.

The voting reflected Iwobi’s standout display, as he garnered the majority of the votes to finish well ahead of second-placed Gravenberch, who also recorded a goal and assist in Liverpool's Merseyside Derby win against Everton. 

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes came in third after leading his team to a major victory over Chelsea, while Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah rounded out the top four.

This recognition for Iwobi spotlights Fulham's improved collective performance and the tactical freedom given to him by manager Marco Silva. As the season progresses, Iwobi's consistency will be key to Fulham's hopes of achieving their European aspirations.
