The rivalry between the legendary sides started when the teams meeting last year in a charity clash that ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.
Manchester United took the lead through a stunning free kick by Wayne Rooney, only for Celtic to level the score and ultimately win in a penalty shootout.
Former Nigerian international Efe Ambrose started the game for Celtic against Manchester United in the legends game.
In the return leg, United started strongly, with Darren Fletcher opening the scoring.
Dimitar Berbatov doubling the lead with a clinical finish as the Red Devils went into the halftime break with a commanding 2-0 advantage.
However, the second half saw Celtic mount a spirited comeback as Scott McDonald reduced the deficit.
In the 75th minute Shaun Maloney leveled the score with a composed finish, forcing the game into another penalty shootout.
United’s penalty problem resurfaced, and Celtic edged the shoot out 4-3, with Darren O'Dea sealing the victory.
