Ex-Real Madrid boss explains why Man Utd flop Hojlund is perfect for Inter

Fabio Capello has urged Inter Milan to pursue Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund this summer.

The Danish forward, who joined United from Atalanta in 2023, has struggled to make an impact, managing just 10 goals and four assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last term.

With Højlund linked to Inter, Capello believes the Champions League finalists should prioritize the 23-year-old.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the veteran manager expressed his admiration for the Dane, despite his slow start at United.

“The Dane is a very dynamic striker, good at exploiting space. Even though he was very young, he impressed me at Atalanta."

Højlund’s contract runs until 2028, and Transfermarkt values him at €35 million. A move to Inter could offer the young striker a chance to rediscover his Atalanta form.

Meanwhile, Manchester United remain linked to Nigeria's Victor Osimhen, who would be an upgrade on Hojlund, but a move remains a long way off at this point.
