Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has turned down an offer to manage Turkish club Kayserispor, according to Portuguese news outlet A Bola.
The 64-year-old had been in talks with Kayserispor but ultimately rejected the opportunity to join the team.

The Portuguese has been a free agent since his contract expired with the Super Eagles in March 2024.
The former Sporting coach led the Super Eagles to a runner-up position at the 2023 AFCON where they lost 2-1 to hosts Ivory Coast in the final.
Following Peseiro's rejection, Kayserispor have appointed Bosnian coach Sergej Jakirovic as their new manager. Jakirovic will sign a one-and-a-half-year contract with the club.
Kayserispor is currently facing challenges, including a ban on registering new players in the next three transfer windows and a financial crisis.
The team has also struggled on the field, going five games without a win, including four defeats and one draw.
Kayserispor currently sits in 17th place on the Turkish Super Lig table with 16 points.
