Favour Ofili scoops sprint double wins in spectacular build-up for Paris 2024 Olympics
Another convincing display by Nigeria's speedster Favour Ofili strengthened her readiness for Paris 2024 Olympics after double sprint victories at the at the Mike Holloway Pro Classic in Florida.
The meet, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver event, was organised as a major competition before the Paris Olympic Games saw the speed sensation claim the 100m and 200m victories to extend her winning form in her past few races this season.
Running in the women's 100m final, Ofili closed hard to edge out her training partner Candace Hill in 11.07s as they both clocked the same time, while Leah Bertrand finished third.

Ofili's victories in Florida are strong indications of her readiness for the Paris Olympic Games, as she has recorded a series of successive triumphs and her last defeat was back in May.
The Nigerian 100m champion will be heading to Paris with confidence and a goal of getting to at least one of the sprint finals, where she can gun for a good position finish in her Olympic debut, which will be a strong start in her quest of being a major sprint force in the future.
