Flying Eagles: Nigeria to face Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco in Group B of U-20 AFCON
The draw for the 2025 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations has placed Nigeria in a formidable Group B.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face off against Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco.
Nigeria, a powerhouse in African youth football, boasts a storied history in the AFCON U-20, having clinched the title a record seven times.
Egypt and South Africa, were in Nigeria's pool prior to Cote d'Ivoire's withdrawal as tournament hosts,
Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania are the other five teams in Group A, which is led by the new hosts, Egypt.
Senegal leads Group C, while Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic are its rivals.
The Flying Eagles are back in Abuja after a three-week training camp in Katsina, are scheduled to go to Egypt this week for an eight-day final-phase preparation prior to the start of the competition.
All four of the tournament's semi-finalists from Egypt will represent Africa at the FIFA U20 World Cup, which will take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
