Foreign scouts in search of next Osimhen impressed with quality of talents in Nigeria
Top football scouts from Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Spain, have expressed their satisfaction with the quality of talents at display during the Global Football Scouting Tournament.
The fourth edition of the Global Football Scouting Tournament was held at the Abati Barracks in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.
Valiant FC emerge champions of the Global Football Scouting Tournament
Valiant Football Club emerged as winners of the fourth edition of the Global Football Scouting Tournament in Lagos.
Valiant FC defeated Broad City; in their semi-final match played earlier, Valiant A defeated Valiant B, while Broad City defeated Gbagada FC.
It was a tough final as Valiant and Broad City entertained fans with their football artistry.
Valiant coach Owolabi Mustapha opined that the players on the team have demonstrated that they are a developing team.
"My players are young, so we keep developing them and correcting their mistakes when needed. We are a growing and developmental one."
Foreign scouts impressed with the quality of talent in Nigeria
The head of Youth Development of Westerlo FC, Patrick Kempeneers, expressed his happiness seeing talented footballers in Nigeria.
He added that most of the players are complete and capable of competing well in Europe.
He said, "I have seen a lot of players with a lot of good skills in different ages, which I prefer the youngest ages; we can work on a project with these players, and it interesting for us that we can see younger players who will perform at a higher level in Europe.
"We have been looking at the technical skills; their reactions and mindset on the balls have been amazing, which we are happy to watch and see directly; no doubt Nigeria and Africa are full of talents.
The participating teams are Valiant Teams A and B, Atlantic Business, Broad City, and Dannaz.
Dino Sporting Club, Gbagada FC, Glory Boys, Bucknor FC, and Clique FC are the others.
