Contract Conundrum at Al-Hilal

Aleksander Mitrovic is repoterdly at loggerheads with Al Hilal.

According to well-respected transfer insider Nicolo Schira, Inzaghi has decided not to include Mitrovic in his squad plans going forward.

Despite the surprise omission, the Serbian star, currently sidelined with an injury that will keep him out of the Club World Cup quarterfinal against Fluminense, may not be losing sleep over the decision.

Mitrovic’s contract reportedly guarantees him €25 million in wages for the upcoming season.

If Al-Hilal opts to terminate his deal, they would still be required to pay the full amount, unless they manage to secure a transfer elsewhere.

However, given the financial windfall at stake, it is highly unlikely that the 29-year-old striker will agree to terminate his contract without compensation.

Al-Hilal’s ideal scenario would be to sell Mitrovic, but the market for a high-wage forward recovering from injury could prove complicated.

That said, the forward’s impressive record in Saudi Arabia of 79 appearances, 68 goals, and 15 assists, remains a strong selling point.

Manchester United Eyeing a Move

Aleksander Mitrovic is wanted by Manchester United.

One of the clubs reportedly circling is none other than English giants Manchester United.

British journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that United are considering Mitrovic as they reassess their forward options this summer.

Viktor Gyokeres, long linked with a move to Manchester, now appears to favor a switch to Arsenal, leaving United exploring other possibilities, including RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and PSG’s Hugo Ekitike.

Ruben Amorim is believed to be a fan of Mitrovic’s tenacity and proven scoring ability.

Should the Serbian recapture the form he displayed at Fulham, where he netted 43 goals across his final two seasons, he could be the physical presence and goal threat United need to complement their youthful frontline.

While injury may have stalled immediate movement, Mitrovic’s name continues to swirl in the summer transfer rumor mill.
