Giannis Antetokounmpo: Nigerian Freak powers Greece to EuroBasket semifinal
Giannis Antetokounmpo was the catalyst as Greece advanced to their first Semi-Finals since 2009 by defeating Lithuania 87-76 in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Quarterfinals.
Antetokounmpo produced 29 points as Greece overcame the raucous Lithuania fans at the Arena Riga.
Greece opened with a 35-24 lead after making three three-pointers Lithuania responding with an 11-2 but were behind 44-38 at the break.
Lithuania narrowed the deficit to three points at 44-41 before Greece widened the lead again to 51-41.

Although Lithuania trailed by eight points with sixty-one seconds remaining, the game was decided and Greece held on for the win,
Greece were led by Milwaukee Bucks star Antetokounmpo who put up 29 points, six rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block making 9 of 15 shots.
Kostas Sloukas added 11 points and four assists, Kostas Antetokounmpo added four points and four blocks, while Vasileios Toliopoulos made three three-pointers for a total of seventeen points.
Greece finally made it past the Quarter-Finals and now they will play Turkey for a position in the Final.
