Gift Orban teases Tottenham with first hat-trick for Gent in Europa Conference League
Nigerian youngster Gift Orban is unstoppable at the moment after another brilliant outing for Belgian club KAA Gent.
Orban and his partner in crime Hugo Cuypers were at their lethal best as Gent thrashed Pogon Szczecin 5-0 in the UEFA Europa Conference League, UECF.
The 20-year-old has started the new season on fire as he has continued from where he stopped last season.
Orban vs Szczecin
The youngster scored for the third consecutive match this season to inspire his club Gent to another comfortable outing against Szczecin.
He netted his first hat-trick of the season as Gent continued on their brilliant start to the season with another sensational win.
Orban opened the scoring in the 13th minute before he doubled the advantage after the half-hour mark.
Strike partner, Cuypers added two goals in the final five minutes of the first half to give Gent a commanding lead at the break.
After the break, it was Orban again who added to the scoreline as he completed the hat-trick to put Gent 5-0 ahead in the 64th minute.
It was his fifth goal in three matches this season which should send a clear message to one of his suitors, Tottenham.
Tottenham in for Orban
As reported by Pulse Sports, Orban’s form has not gone unnoticed with some top European clubs on his chase.
Premier League side, Tottenham, are leading to chase for the signature of the Super Eagles hopeful who lives for goals.
Per the report, the Gent forward is wanted by LALIGA champions, Barcelona, who have now fallen behind Spurs in the battle for Orban’s signature.
The Lilywhites have identified Orban as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, who could leave the club this summer with Bayern Munich a potential destination for the England captain.
Tottenham are reportedly ready to pay top dollar for the services of Orban, who netted 20 goals last season despite joining Gent in January.
