Tottenham want Nigerian youngster to replace Harry Kane

Tottenham are preparing for life without Harry Kane and have identified potential options to replace the England captain. 

Harry Kane’s future at Spurs has been the subject of debate all summer, with Bayern Munich interested in his services. 

The England international is Bayern’s number one target this summer as they look to challenge on all fronts this season. 

The Bavaria giants have already had one bid turned down but are expected to return with an improved offer.

As a result, Tottenham are already eyeing a list of potential options to replace Kane. One of the names on Spurs’ list is Nigerian youngster Gift Orban. 

Orban is currently on the books of Gent, having joined the Belgian club from Stabaek in January 2023. 

The Nigerian attacker’s profile has been on the rise after exploding in the first half of the year. The Super Eagles prospect scored 19 goals in all competitions for Gent last season, despite only joining in January. 

Orban has already started the new season on fire, having scored two goals in two games for the club.

Tottenham are aware of these performances and are targeting him as a potential replacement for Harry Kane. 

According to the Daily Mail, Orban and Nottingham Forest’s Brenan Johnson is on the list of Spurs’ options. However, the LilyWhites may have to pay top dollar to bring the Nigerian to North London. 

Orban still has four years left on his contract with Gent, meaning the De Buffalo’s control all the cards in a potential move.
