The Golden State Warriors are seeking a talented scorer next to Steph Curry after Klay Thompson's departure to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors front office have identified 27-year-old Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz as the prime replacement, but they'll need to offer a substantial package.
Golden State Warriors to push for Lauri Markkanen
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Jazz require a deal similar to the Knicks-Nets trade for Mikal Bridges, involving five first-round picks and an unprotected pick swap.

Markkanen, a reliable No. 1 option and 2023 All-Star, has averaged 23.2 points and 8.2 rebounds in 55 games.
His three-point shooting (over 39% in three of the last four seasons) aligns with the Warriors' offense, and Golden State view Markkanen as a player to help the franchise return to title contention next season.
