'He believes in me' - Chukwueze promises to repay manager's trust in him

At the start of the season, Chukwueze struggled to get enough playing time following poor performance from him.

The Super Eagles star failed to replicate his pre-season form and was left on the bench by manager Paulo Fonseca.

However, compared to the start of the season, the Nigerian attacker has witnessed an increase in playing time in the starting lineup.

Chukwueze has vowed to impress his manager and reward him with good performances after getting back to the starting lineup.

The Super Eagles star said to MilanTV, as quoted by Milan Posts, “Fonseca trusts me, he believes in me. I’m happy to have my chance and want to repay the coach’s confidence.”

The forward has earned back-to-back starts since returning from the international break, which has resulted in wins for AC Milan except for the 2-0 loss to Napoli.

The Nigerian attacker has proven his dedication to earning his coach's trust by recording one goal and one assist in 12 games.

In their UEFA Champions League campaign, AC Milan will now face a more challenging opponent as they get ready to play La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid.
