He has very strong sperm - Wayne Rooney recalls awkward conversation with Louis Van Gaal

England legend Wayne Rooney has sparked a conversation about his former manager of Manchester United Louis van Gaal.

Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show podcast, the Manchester United all-time top scorer talked about an uncomfortable first exchange between his wife and Van Gaal.

Van Gaal was appointed United's manager in 2014 coming in after leading the Netherlands to third place at the World Cup.

Rooney on the podcast discussed the first time his wife and children were able to meet Van Gaal.

He revealed that the he introduced himself to his wife Coleen and made an awkward conversation.

Rooney said, “The first time he met Coleen, we had a lunch and all the players’ wives and girlfriends, all the staff are there.

“He came up to Coleen, first ever time he met her, and he went, ‘Your children, they look very much like their father. He has very strong sperm.’

“That was the first time he’d met her. But he was so funny and such a good character."

The statement by Rooney has gone viral on social media with fans surprised at the coach making such a remark.

Rooney went on to state that he learned a lot from Van Gaal tactically during their stint together.
