‘He is doing an incredible job’ - Napoli legend backs Conte's decision to replace Osimhen with Lukaku

Despite Lukaku contributing to 14 goals in 20 appearances his output pales in comparison to Osimhen's impressive 40 goal involvements during the 2022/23 season.
What Protti said
Protti highlighted Conte's ability to adapt to his squad and adopt a style that plays to the strength of his team.
Furthermore, Protti attributed much of Napoli's success to Conte's specific transfer decisions, particularly the acquisition of Romelu Lukaku.
"He is one of those centre-forwards I would have been happy to play with because I’ve always preferred strikers who create space for me.
"Conte is doing an incredible job, and I was convinced that Napoli had made a great move this year after last season. The choice of coach was perfect; Conte has never failed and has always coached in top-tier leagues.
"The credit for this season goes to Conte, who wanted a player like Lukaku, someone he knew well. Antonio’s great strength is his ability to adapt to the players at his disposal, not just sticking to one style of play" Protti explained.
This suggests that Conte is not rigid in his tactics and is willing to adjust his approach based on the strengths and weaknesses of his squad.
