He ticks all the boxes - Fulham manager heaps praise on Super Eagles star

Silva joins Carragher in praising Bassey
Jamie Carragher was full of praise for the Super Eagles' centre-back on the Monday Night Football show.
He said, “Last week, Calvin Bassey was fantastic. He plays in my position, and I was so impressed with him.”
The former Rangers defender has done well to overcome his past failures, and Marco Silva joined in praising him.
He said, as reported by Sky Sports, “I know him very well, I’ve said it several times since he joined us after a really difficult spell in Ajax and his time at Rangers.
“We really believe in him. I really believe that he’s capable of playing at a very high level. He ticks all the boxes of what a modern footballer and modern defender must be.”

The Fulham manager was asked where Bassey can improve his game. The manager revealed that Bassey needs to work on his aerial ability.
He said, “He really has to improve his aerial duels. All the other things? He has them. He has the ability on the ball, he’s quick, and strong in the duels. He has to be more concentrated to be more focused in all the moments of the game.
“If he’s able to stay focused throughout the game, then he’s able to play the way he plays. He’s very aggressive and he’s very quick.”
