‘He would send a big message’ - Chelsea legend claims Osimhen’s signing will put the Blues in title race
Osimhen was on the verge of signing for Chelsea in the summer, but the deal fell through due to failed negotiations between both parties.
The Super Eagles striker then made a loan move to Turkish side Galatasaray and has since been instrumental for them.
The forward scored his third goal of the season for Galatasaray with a stunning bicycle kick in their 3-0 win over Antalyaspor.
Malouda on Osimhen
Florent Johan Malouda has acknowledged that Osimhen will be welcomed to the Blue team in West London and instantly turn them into a title contender.
According to IC Football News, Malouda said “Victor Osimhen would be very welcome. I think Didier Drogba had a lot of nice things to say about him.
“He would have to write his own history, but of course, there would be a lot of expectation and excitement [if he joined].
“I think the addition of Osimhen would send out a big message to the other top teams in the Premier League.
“If Chelsea signed him, then I think we could say for certain that his quality would put Chelsea right into the title race.
“If Chelsea can stay within touching distance of the top of the table, then adding Osimhen to the squad in January would give the fans and the club a really exciting second half to the season.”
