He's happier at Aston Villa: Ryan Giggs says Rashford won't return to Old Trafford
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes Marcus Rashford has found a new lease on life at Aston Villa, suggesting the England star looks "happier" since his January loan switch.
Giggs, who helped oversee Rashford's senior debut in 2016, thinks a clean break between the player and club might be in the best interest of both parties.
"I don't think he looked happy at United. I think he looks happier now," Giggs said on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast.
He continued, "For Marcus and for United, I think it's best if they part ways. He'd be a brilliant player for someone, but I don’t know who."
Giggs recalled Rashford's early days, noting his impressive debut and freedom on the pitch.
He added, "He was just like any young player, just playing with freedom. He doesn't look like that now."
Rashford's future at Manchester United remains uncertain, with his contract running until 2028.
A permanent sale could generate significant funds, but talks won't begin until mid-June, giving both parties time to assess their options.
