Alan Smith has praised Kai Havertz's performance, calling it his finest for the club during their 3-0 victory against Brighton.
Havertz scored his ninth Premier League goal and assisted Leandro Trossard late in the game, propelling Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League.
This match marked his fourth goal since Mikel Arteta moved him to the centre-forward position in February.
Kai Havertz praised for super performance
Havertz made four chances against Brighton, more than any other player on the field, including scoring the second and all-important goal.
“Havertz had his best game in an Arsenal shirt,” Smith said on Sky Sports.
“He looks so at home in that role he has been asked to play.
"Havertz was tremendous again today. His overall performance has been superb and now his goal contribution is higher than anyone else in the league in the last few months.
“His work-rate too – he was chasing back 70 metres here. This heart and this determination, that’s why everybody loves him,” he added.
