'I only clashed with one teammate in the dressing room' - Vidić reveals the only player who challenged him at United
Vidić was the undisputed backbone of the defence, someone you simply didn't want to cross.
The Serbian defender left an indelible mark on Manchester United, so much so that fans still yearn for another player like him.
What Vidic said
The Serbian commanded that kind of respect, but one brave player dared to challenge him. Surprisingly, it was Anderson, as Vidić revealed in an interview with "The Overlap", as reported by Sportal.
"During my time at Manchester United, I only clashed with one teammate in the dressing room. It was Anderson. Something happened on the pitch, and we carried it over into the dressing room, but it wasn't a big deal." - Nemanja Vidić
The Brazilian played for United from 2007 to 2015 and is remembered as a wonder kid who never quite reached his full potential. He also played for Gremio, Porto, Fiorentina, Coritiba, Internacional, and Adana Demirspor.
It takes some nerve to go up against Vidić, a powerhouse of a player. Physically, Vidić was much larger than Anderson, and of course, the former Spartak Moscow and Red Star Belgrade player held captain status under Sir Alex Ferguson.
