PSG also made history in the final, being the first team to win with the biggest margin of victory in the competition's history, with no team winning by a five-goal margin since the tournament began in 1956

The Nigerian icon, who played for PSG from 1998 to 2002, spoke to TNT Sports moments after the historic win.

"It's amazing," Okocha said, reflecting on PSG lifting the coveted trophy for the first time. "The way they did it, they made it look so easy. They had a good game plan, it worked perfectly, and they totally deserve it."

Okocha admitted he hadn't predicted such a dominant performance against the Italian giants. "I predicted 2-1, but who cares? I wanted to see them win, and they did. It's fantastic for the club, a first in their history, and I think it's good for football as well."

The former Super Eagles captain was particularly impressed by PSG's attacking prowess. "I think that was the difference," he noted. "They used their individual talent for the benefit of the team. They controlled possession, kept Inter at bay, and they have the ability to make things happen with the ball."

Asked how he would have fit into such a high-pressing, modern attack, Okocha responded with a smile: "When you're around great players, they make you look good."

He emphasized the players' commitment as key to the victory. "The hard work was incredible. But it's a mindset—when everything clicks, you don't mind going the extra mile for the team. And that's what they did."

PSG are Champions League winners.

Okocha also praised the manager's influence on the team's mentality. "He made us realize that football is a team game. No matter how good you are individually, if you don't play for the team, you can't win anything. And they proved that tonight."
