Ibrahimovic linked with potential return to football

Ibrahimovic, who decided to retire at the age of 41 after suffering a series of serious injuries during his second spell with AC Milan, has now been touted to make a return to the game, with one of his old clubs ready to take him back.

The former Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Inter forward was a serial winner during his 24 year senior career, winning league titles with six of the nine clubs he played for while active.

Ibrahimovic became a cult hero at AC Milan after two spells with the club, winning the Scudetto in 2011 and 2022, with the club failing to win the Serie A crown during his absence between both spells.

AC Milan president talks Ibrahimovic return

The former Sweden international has been offered a place in Rossoneri's current setup despite being retired at the moment, with AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni noting that Ibrahimovic’s chapter with the club might not be over.

Scaroni was asked about a possible return for Ibrahimovic to AC Milan, and he answered, “It’s a question you should ask him. We have proved to be available.

He was quoted by Gazzetta Dello Sport, as saying, “He is a friend of ours so our door is open. Zlatan has to decide on what to do. Apparently, he is going through a moment of reflection. It’s important for him to make a thoughtful choice, both personally and professionally.”
