‘I’ll be back in crutches for two months’ - Ex-Turkey star shocked at Osimhen’s goal against Eyüpspor
Galatasaray edged closer to winning the Turkish League title following their 5-1 victory over Eyüpspor last weekend.
The Super Eagles star was at the top of his game and scored the third goal for Galatasaray remarkably.
The forward is currently leading the Turkish Süper Lig with 22 goals and five assists in 26 appearances this season and top scorer for Okan Buruk's team.
Kahveci speaks on Osimhen’s goal
Kahveci was astonished by Osimhen's goal, insisting that he would have needed surgery if he had tried to score such a goal during his own career.
He said, as reported by Haber Sariki Mizi, “How high was his foot when he scored in the Eyüpspor game?
“How do you raise that foot there? If I raise my foot there, I’ll be back in crutches for two months after a surgery and four months later, I’ll be back in football.
The Napoli loanee exhibited exceptional control in bringing down the aerial ball with deft precision.
He continued, “Would that be fair? It’s unfair, unfair competition in the field. It’s something else!. He deserves four pages in the newspapers.
“He’s a great football player. The league ends, if Galatasaray gets the cup, the name to be written directly is Osimhen. He played unbelievably.
“He took Galatasaray alone on his back, and Galatasaray took the lead with five points thanks to Osimhen. If it weren’t for Osimhen, we’d see a whole different painting.
“Osimhen wears a jersey in Galatasaray as if he will never leave, and he shows his performance as if he will leave at any moment. There is nothing like it.”
