'I’ll be real' - Super Eagles star Ola Aina reveals his next plan after retirement
The 28-year-old has been in exceptional form for The Reds in the English Premier League this season.
The fullback is considered one of the best right-backs in the league this season, following some eye-catching performances.
His presence in defence has helped Nottingham Forest keep nine clean sheets and also scored two important goals for his team.
Aina speaks on future plans
Aina has hinted at a potential career path he may pursue after retiring from football in the future.
Speaking with his teammate Anthony Elanga on The Friendship Test Interview, the two were asked if they would like to pursue coaching after retirement.
He said, “I don’t think I’ve got any interest in managing either. I’ll be real. I’ll manage a little like a Sunday League team. That’ll be alright. Anything other than that, it’s too much stress.”
Aina disclosed that he could take up the post where there is a bit less strain, even though the two denied any interest in doing so after they hang their boots.
Meanwhile, Aina has drawn the attention of top clubs in the league following his outstanding performance this season.
In recent weeks, there have been rumours of the Nigerian defender joining Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
Since his current contract with Forest expires after this season, he is free to start pre-contract negotiations with any team.
