Christopher Nkuku has reportedly made the definitive decision to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports reporter, Florian Plettenberg indicates that the French international's time at Stamford Bridge will come to an end after a challenging spell.
Despite signing a long-term contract until 2029 with the Blues, it appears Nkunku's future lies elsewhere. Reports suggest that talks regarding his departure are already underway.
Nkunku joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig in a deal reportedly worth around £52 million.
Expectations were high for the versatile forward, who had established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most exciting talents, scoring prolifically and providing numerous assists.
However, his time at Chelsea has been hampered by injuries. Throughout the 2023/2024 and the current 2024/2025 seasons, Nkunku has faced multiple spells on the sidelines due to various issues, including knee, hamstring, and hip problems.
These injuries have limited his appearances and prevented him from establishing a consistent run of form in the Premier League.
Nkunku has featured in a total of 38 appearances in the Premier League, managing to score 6 goals.
