Incredible Messi and Suarez show sends Inter Miami top of MLS after Orlando City demolition

Former Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were untouchable as they helped Inter Miami to a stunning 5-0 victory over Orlando City in the MLS. 

Messi and Suarez bagged a brace each in the convincing win which sees Inter Miami climb to the top of the MLS standings after three matches with seven points from a possible nine. 

Inter Miami stamped their authority on the fixture early on as Suarez gave the home side the lead after only four minutes of action thanks to an assist from Julian Gressel. 

Gressel and Suarez combined again for Inter Miami’s second goal of the game as they entered cruise control with a 2-0 lead after just 11 minutes against Orlando City. 

Suarez turned provider for Inter Miami’s third goal, setting up Robert Taylor for the hosts third of the game, giving them a 3-0 lead before the half-hour mark. 

In the second half, Inter Miami made it a full-blown rout, as Messi got in on the action and scored a comical fourth to continue the demolition of Orlando City.

Messi made it a personal double a few minutes after his first, reprising his Barcelona partnership with Suarez to make it 5-0 with an angled header following a pin-point cross from the Uruguayan that also saw the Argentine World Cup winner notch his 500th career league goal in only his 587th match in all league competitions.
