Vipers SC have continued to turn St. Mary's Stadium, Kitende, into an impenetrable fortress, where achieving positive results has become a delightful routine and a nightmare for the visiting teams.

Their last domestic home defeat came over two years back in November 2021, when they were beaten 2-0 by URA FC, courtesy of goals from Joachim Ojera and Cromwell Rwothomio.

This happened in the 2021/22 campaign, which they subsequently triumphed in, clinching the league title with an impressive 74 points - a comfortable 16 points clear of runners-up KCCA FC.

Since then, the Kitende side has played 40 home domestic (UPL and the Uganda Cup) matches, winning a massively impressive 33 times with seven stalemates and zero defeats.

In the previous season, Vipers triumphed in 11 league games at St Mary's Stadium, securing three draws and suffering no losses out of the 14 matches.

They netted a respectable 32 goals, including five against Express FC and Busoga United, conceding just four times in front of their devoted supporters all season.

This season, the Vipers have won four of the five games in the league, with the other being a draw. They've scored ten goals and conceded just two.

Across all competitions, including the CAF Champions League, the Venoms have only experienced a single defeat, a 1-0 loss against Simba SC on February 25.

During that time, they drew one-all with Wydad Casablanca, managed barren draws with Horoya and TP Mazembe and beat Jwaneng Galaxy 2-1 in this year's CAF Champions League preliminary round.

Vipers (24 points) welcome table leaders BUL FC (26) at their fortress in the Uganda Premier League this Friday, with a spot to the summit at stake.
