Israel Adesanya arrives in Nigeria

Adesanya returned to Nigeria shortly after losing to South Africa's Dricus du Plessis in his UFC middleweight title battle.

The 35-year-old mixed martial artist made his entry into the country public via a post on the X account of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.

The Nigerian-New Zealander and his parents were met at the airport with drums and song when they returned to Lagos.

Even though Israel Adesanya does not have a UFC title around his waist, he is drawing sizable crowds wherever he travels in Nigeria.

The fact that Israel Adesanya was unable to defend his former UFC middleweight title doesn't seem to bother the Nigerian fans.

Adesanya boasted about how much he loved Lagos' nightlife on his Instagram stories, calling it "lit."

Adesanya also displayed some of the foods he consumed, such as Fan Yoghurt, Suya, and snails.

Despite rumors that he would be travelling to South Africa shortly, Adesanya still seems to like his stay so far in Nigeria.
